WINNERS:

Contest received over 160 registrations from over 35 countries in only couple of months and challenged amateur, student and young professional designers and engineers and we are extremely pleased with the level of interest.  Eight works fulfilled all of the demands. Four works were submitted for 3. category and four for 4. category. This information indicates affinity of young people to the world of 3D.

Category of designing new scooter’s body parts was awarded to Gregor Tegeltija. Winner received an electric scooter for an award.

Category of designing new scooter’s body was awarded to Martin Vovk. The winner received Rhinoceros 4.0 single-user license and an electric scooter for an award.

Best model by participants votes is  from category of designing new scooter’s body, which author is Cornelia Silvan. She will receive 3D printed scooter' s body she designed.

We wish to thank all of the contestants who participated in 3. International Modeling Contest: Personalize your electric scooter!, offer congratulations to the winners for your excellent themes and equal congratulations to all participants participants. All winning works were presented at 3D Print Forum 2008 booth at FESPA Digital Printing Europe, Geneva, Switzerland (http://contest.all4print.net/content/view/21/28/). They achieved lots of interest of participants, which could vote for best model by their selection. Afterwards we randomly selected one of them.

Author of the best submitted work by FESPA visitor’s choice was rewarded with 3D printed model of his design.

After the fair we randomly selected one out of the visitors who voted for best model in his/her opinion and will receive a small 3D printed model of an electric scooter.
Professional jury consisted of experts in technically and artistically supported fields, chose best works from each (two of four) categories. Submitted works were judged on the following criteria: Conceptual quality and vision, innovative substance, Quality of design and presentation, Conformity with theme, Technical skill, Aesthetic merit.
