Scanning visitors faces attracted a lot of participants of FESPA Digital 2008.

3D SCANNING AND PRINTING:

Second part of 3D Print Forum based on new technology of very fast and accurate scanning with low costs of hardware and software. We demonstrated quick capture of 3D shapes with complex of the scanner, which was composed from three parts: digital camera, video projector and personal computer including appropriate software. Scanner was intended for scanning of both live and still objects.

kaja_rgb.jpg This year we showed the process of exceedingly fast 3D Photocopy Machine, which consisted of 3D scanner (ZScanner 800) which easy captured virtually any object from any angle and 3D colour printer. With photograph or some other texture we could create virtual full 3D colour model. It is possible to print CAD data on 3D printer in order to get real physical 3D colour part. It is possible to repeat this process over and over again starting with 3D CAD file or with scanning of physical part.
Every scanned visitor got 3D scan file (3D photograph) of his/her face on CD for free!

We prepared SPECIAL FESPA OFFER of printing 3D masks for those who ordered printing mask directly at the booth.

(100% more in price value)

1) For the price of small one they could get the LARGE one!

2) For the price of white one they could get the COLOR one!

Participants were surprised by very unique design of products lighting by label ‘Materialise.MGX’.
Also best models from last year’s contest and other fields of application (architecture, GIS, design modelling, cultural heritage, mechanical engineering,…) were presented at 3D Print Forum 2008’s exhibition place.
With the emerging field of 3D printing growing in all industry sectors it is important to connect these industries with printers. Printers need to make the connection as soon as possible and 3D Print Forum is a unique opportunity for today’s printers to be successful in the future.

Due to very fast developing of 3D scanning and capturing of 3D objects 3D printing becomes more and more useful in daily practice for mass market also.
The 3D Print Forum is an event that will connect the printing industry with all major industrial branches. This is also in accord with the current FESPA strategy – to go industrial and with innovative printing technologies attract people from printing branches!
We are proud to say that after three years of representing at FESPA fairs (for the second time we exhibited at FESPA Digital) we are still the only company representing this future technology and most of visitors couldn’t stop wondering on 3D scanning, 3D modelling and 3D printing!

maske_apr08 006.jpgWe were also surprised about the number of participants who visited us more than once in three days! Many of them invited their friends and colleagues to the booth, showing and explaining them 3D technologies they had heard about day before. It was not only few of them who said that would like to bring and integrate 3D technologies into their business.

After successful exhibiting at FESPA in last two years, other organized seminars (especially Adriatic Print and Photo Forum 2007) and also results of survey motivated us to organize even better and more explosive 3D Print Forum than last two years! It would be a shame not to continue with organization of resumed 3D Print Forum, which should be more upgraded and even more precisely completed every year.

Printed 3D model of a face as a present.
