Modeling contest Personalize your electric scooter! related to scooter tuning. Electric scooter is environment friendly vehicle and alternative way of city transport.

The main goal was to introduce applicability of 3D technologies - of 3D scanning, 3D modeling and 3D printing to a wider public through creativity and knowledge of young people.

The main topic of design projects was personalization of electric scooter.

Four Categories of SCOOTER TUNING :

1. DESIGN OF DECALS (2D labels) – Personalize your electric scooter with different label design!

2. ELECTRIC SCOOTER AS ADVERTISING MEDIA – Scooter is used as advertising media, on which applies corporate identity or product advertising.

3. DESIGN NEW SCOOTER’S BODY PARTS – 3D modeling of scooter’s favorite addition (face lifting) based on organizer's 3D scan of scooter’s existing body.

4. DESIGN NEW SCOOTER’S BODY – 3D modeling of new electric scooter body (based on organizer's 3D scan of old scooter’s body).

Scooter's 3D scanned parts (masks and frames) were captured with ZScanner 800 by organizer. All these 3D files (STL) registered contestants could downloaded from organizer's FTP.

This detail is taken from Martin Vovk's winning work named Spear. He redesigned all masks from existent scooter. Mentioned detail was 3D printed with 3D color printer Spectrum Z510 in a scale 1:1. Whole scooter was 3D printed in scale 1:10. See picture here.
